CAMTuning's 06 WRX Wagon

Cameron Dawes' 2006 WRX Wagon wasn't purchased with the intention of being the fastest Subaru in the state; the car was originally purchased to be a fun family car, now it's simply both.

Cletus over at Riedel's Vintage Stock and Modified sent this Video from Petrolicious over to me today.  While I'm not a huge Porsche fan, I love this guys theory, it can easily apply to drag, drift, or whatever your motor sport is. I'm not sure what the salary of a fiction writer is, but I certainly couldn't afford this garage, but ellements of if can definitely be applied by all of us. Click "Continue Reading" for the video

2 Home Built Honda Civic EK Hatches, Exactly the Same but Different.

Richard and Peter Gonzales are two brothers that exercise sibling rivalry a little differently than some, their rivalry happens in the garage. At first glance their cars seem like a matching pair, separated only by color. They look great sitting next to each other, but a dose of competition has created differences that allow each of these cars to stand on their own, both great examples of a first build.

I apologize for the cell phone pics, I initially wasn't going to do a write up on this; but once we got into it I realized this might actually be useful for anyone running dual pumps, or even anyone just wanting an idea how to wire a relay. You could have a boost or RPM switch trigger all kinds of stuff. Here's what we did with it.

SQC Tuning got together with Motiva to host their annual dyno day. Lots of imports, domestics, and their owners all showed up to measure horsepower, talk shop, and check out all the awesome cars that came down for the show and shine out front. Many owners in attendance took advantage of the chance to pick the brain of SQC owner Eric Dotson. I went up to Rio Rancho last weekend for CamTuning's Dyno Day, held at Pro Power Dyno Services.  Pro Power has the states only all wheel drive dyno, so the Subaru's and Evos's came out in droves. It started early around 8AM, and ran well into the evening.  I played hookie from a wedding ceremony to to check it out. Click "continue reading" for the pics

Brian's 67 Shelby GT500

Garage Built Muscle

We had seen and heard lots of video, pics and stories around the local haunts of a gorgeous, nitrous purging, Shelby GT500 clone that had a bite to match its bark. After a conversation with friend and colleague Jeff Algarra, I learned that Albuquerque local, Brian Henry was not only the owner, but builder of this beast. I also realized I had met him months prior at the 2012 All Out Call Out. I tracked him down on TSC and asked if he wanted to grace our pages, he was all about it. Garage Built Rides decided to do something a little different this go round. Rather than a location shoot, we thought we would catch this GT500 and it's owner in their natural habitat, our favorite place...the home garage. A huuuuge thanks to Brad from A Contrast In Light for taking some great shots. Check out his photos and videos, and hire him for your next wedding, family photo, grad photo, or any other photo you can think of, from his website at www.acontrastinlight.com

This feature is one that's a big deal for me, because while Sean is the current owner...I built it! I learned a lot on this build, and met a lot of cool people because of it. It's part chopper, part bobber, and it sparked the idea for this website/blog. There's more story to this bike than I could fit in this article, or you would care to read, so I'll try to keep it as brief as possible.

I got an e-mail from Josh about a month ago.  He has a boosted Civic hatch that he recently resurrected for the 4th or 5th time in his home garage; He was at the tail end of things, so GBR decided to drop by and check the progress. The car in the build thread looked cool, but so did the garage in the background. You know someone spends a good amount of time in their garage when they not only make it functional, but look awesome!

OK, this is just a teaser feature Of Nates S10. We dropped in on him working on it on short notice. As the latest iteration finishes taking shape we'll visit it again. I heard about this truck from Cletus Riedel (also featured on GBR). After meeting Nate and hearing about all the work he put into this truck with his own 2 hands, I had to check it out. Click "Continue reading" for the pics and info!

David and Cisco's Real Deal Hondas

For some gear heads, the word Honda conjures up images of a four door, mid 90's Civic, that someone drove down the tacky aisle, with the crap magnet turned on full blast. I'm not sure why that is (well I have an idea) but there are definitely some real performance Honda's out there, and to prove that there's more than one, we put 2 in this double feature.  Read on and check out these clean and fast examples of how it should be done.
